During 2004, OilTracers personnel presented short (1 - 2 hour)
oil geochemistry and gas geochemistry lectures on-site at 22
companies in North Africa and the Middle East . We presented
similar lectures at a large number of companies in the USA.
In addition, OilTracers personnel taught our 5 day class
"Petroleum Geochemistry: Tools for Effective Exploration and
Development" on-site at Caltex in Indonesia in October. We taught
this 5 day class again on-site at ONGC in Dehra Dun, India in
November. That was the second year in a row that we have taught the
class at ONGC.
We teach the 5 day class "Petroleum
Geochemistry: Tools for Effective Explor ation and Development"
through OGCI/Petroskills. In 2005, we will be teaching the same 5 day class in Aberdeen, Scotland (March
14-18, 2005), and in Dubai, UAE (November 12-16, 2005). Those
classes are available to the public for registration.
OilTracers LLC is also offering a class on Geochemical Techniques for Solving
Reservoir Management/ Field Development Problems. That class is
available upon request for in-house presentation throughout the
world. Both 2 day and 4 day versions of that class are available.
Thus far, OilTracers has taught this reservoir geochemistry class
at Petrobras in Brazil and at BAPCO in Bahrain. Various OilTracers
instructors are available to teach this class, including Dr. Mark
A. McCaffrey (who was the 2002 Distinguished Lecturer for the SPE
on Reservoir Management Applications of Geochemistry), Dave Baskin,
Brooks Patterson, and Mark Beeunas (all internationally recognized
experts on this subject). For more information on this class,

About OilTracers
OilTracers is a petroleum consulting company that specializes in
integration of geochemical, geological, and engineering data to
solve various petroleum exploration, development, and production
problems. In addition, OilTracers owns and operates the two premier
petroleum geochemistry web sites (www.oiltracers.com and
www.gaschem.com) The databases on these web sites, such as OilRef
(a database of >14,000 petroleum geochemistry citations), the
Oil Sample Library (a listing of >33,500 oil geological samples
owned by various laboratories), and the Petroleum Geochemistry
Dictionary provide answers to more than 5,000 inquiries a month.
OilTracers is organized very much like a law firm, with our various
scientists having complementary areas of expertise. OilTracers is
not a laboratory. We do no analyses. We only interpret data. All
oil analyses are contracted to one of several laboratories we use
around the world. These laboratories then transfer the data
electronically to OilTracers for interpretation.
